The series, “A Translation of Mania and Depression” depicts two paintings that reflect the two states that come with bipolar disorder – the manic episode and the depressive episode. The series of two combined paintings is a literal visual translation of the struggles faced by the artist during these bipolar episodes. She translates these difficult and abstract feelings and emotions that come with having bipolar disorder into the paintings.
